Naughty-Knotty skein sale

We're doing a little spring cleaning over here at the studio and it's time to move some clearance items to make room for new colors and new creativity!

Join us on Friday, April 13th at 10am pacific time, for "Knot" Your Regular Sale.

Knots in yarn are not an uncommon occurrance. But they can be a drag - especially in superwash yarn when you can't splice together the ends as easily. While we don't make claims to be completely knot-free, we do our best to pull out knotty skeins when we come across them.

A "Naughty-Knotty" skein has either a knot, broken ply, or flub in the strand. Occasionally there are two knots within a yard of each other and sometimes the knot will create an overspin / underspin in the yarn next to the join. These anomalies may result in a loss of a few yards when they occur. Please plan your projects accordingly.

For most of the skeins, we've marked the knots and anomalous areas with a piece of yarn, however for a few of the skeins we have split the skein into two hanks where the knot/flub occurred and removed any imperfect areas. In the case of a split skein you will essentially be receiving two smaller skeins that TOGETHER will range up to 5 yards less than the regular put-up.

"NAUGHTY-KNOTTY" skeins are usually dyed independently of our regular stock. If you are ordering multiple skeins of one color we suggest alternating skeins every few rows on any multi-skein project, since multiple skeins are not likely to be from the same dye-lot. We will always do our best to send the closest matching skeins.

This is a great time for some good savings if you don't mind an extra join! In many cases, the NAUGHTY-KNOTTY section is so close to the beginning/end of the skein that you might not even need to use it in your project. A little naughty, yet oh so nice! :)

This sale will feature mostly Cadence (worsted) with some one-of-a-kind skeins in a variety of yarn bases. We will begin putting up previews starting Friday, April 6th, however the "buy" links won't be operational until the beginning of the sale.The sale section of the website will be "dark" an hour or so before the sale so we have time to make the "buy" links ready for clicking.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT PURCHASING SALE ITEMS "DAY-OF-SALE":

It is important to note that “OOAK” skeins and NAUGHTY-KNOTTY skeins are limited and available on a first-come, first serve basis. As a result “cart-hijacking could occur. Cart hijacking happens when you have an item in your cart and another customer is quicker on the draw and purchases it first.

If an item in your cart is no longer available, you won’t be able to check out or get to the next screen until that item is removed. The only way to tell if the item in question is sold out is to click on the item picture to see if there is still stock. If the item is out of stock, go back to your shopping cart, remove the item and continue with your purchase.

Now, here is a super important bit of info: currently you can add sale items to your wishlists. This is great to help you track what things you like, however I DO NOT recommend shopping, while using the links from your wishlist. Due to the “cart hijacking” issue mentioned above, I find it is much better to get out a pencil/paper and write down the item numbers of everything you want from you list and then shopping directly from the sale page.

We will be removing listings as soon as they are sold so that you don’t waste time looking at things that are not available, so if you are on the actual page you can refresh (F5 on your computer keyboard) to see what is still up for purchase.

If there are colors or sweater quantities you covet, we recommend purchasing them individually (and quickly - do your browsing before sale day!) We will combine shipping for all orders placed on Friday, April 13th and Saturday April 14th. We will issue refunds for all postal over-charges whenever it is applicable, so there is no risk in making separate purchase other than the initial charge for shipping, which will be refunded if the package costs less to ship than what you paid (margin of +-$1). We offer free USA shipping on orders of $150 in MERCHANDISE. Due to the high increases in international postage, we are not able to offer free international shipping for sale items at this time.

We also recommend creating a web-store account if you don’t already have one. Be sure you are signed-in before you shop on sale day. This will speed up the checkout process. If you want to use a gift certificate, be sure to type it out in a notebook type program (word, outlook, etc.) and then copy the code using your computer mouse so you can paste it in the website at the payment screen. Be sure to write out the code exactly like it is in your gift certificate, using upper case letters and all of the dashes and symbols.
